1. Design
We evaluate the appearance of all three devicesSince the devices do not belong to the budget price segment, not only engineers, but also designers worked on their design. However, this is noticeable only on the stand, since the screen frame is already barely noticeable and practically does not affect the appearance of the TV.
Perhaps the most interesting is the device from LJI. It uses an elegant D-shaped stand, and the thickness of the top half of the TV itself is kept to a minimum.
Sony used two legs that are almost at the edges of the device. The thickness of her creation also cannot be called particularly large, but it does not reach a record low value either. The case is painted in silver, which slightly distinguishes the device from competitors.
Samsung has unexpectedly turned out to be the lightest TV. The scales below him show 16.3 kg. Almost the entire device can boast of a minimum thickness, and not just its upper half. But because of this, during installation, you need to act as carefully as possible, otherwise you can damage the screen. As for the stand, it looks the least elegant - a similar one is used even in inexpensive monitors.
2. Display
The screen is the first thing every customer looks at.
In fact, only the diagonal of an LG TV screen is equal to 55 inches. For competitors, this parameter is 54.6 inches (139 cm). However, the difference is small and can be ignored.
Whatever one may say, in terms of image quality, the LJI product wins a landslide victory. This is due to the fact that its display is based on OLED technology. Each pixel here glows independently, there is no separate backlit layer. As a result, the buyer is waiting for the deepest black color. The ideal contrast here is also accompanied by the same viewing angles. All of this is at its best when watching content that supports Dolby Vision or HDR 10 Pro. The owner should also be pleased with the refresh rate increased to 100 Hz.
Name | Permission | Matrix type | Frequency | Viewing angles | Black Depth |
Samsung QE55Q70AAU | 4K | VA | 120 Hz | - | + |
LG OLED55BXRLB | 4K | OLED | 100 Hz | + | + + |
Sony KD-55XH9077 | 4K | VA | 120 Hz | - | + |
As for the QLED screen used by the Samsung TV, it is also delightful. In terms of brightness, reaching 590 nits, it surpasses much more inexpensive competitors, and therefore HDR content looks quite good. Another undoubted advantage of such a panel is the 120-Hz refresh rate. Gamers will especially like it. They will also appreciate the support for FreeSync, VRR and G-Sync technologies (they are also announced in the OLED TV described above), as well as the ability to reduce the response time to 5 ms. But the screen also has its shortcomings. Firstly, at this cost, I would like to see a local dimming function here. Secondly, the display was created on the basis of a VA panel, which is why it cannot boast of maximum viewing angles.
Almost all the same words can be said about the Sony KD-55XH9077. One gets the impression that almost the same 10-bit VA panel is used here. The only difference is that the response time can only be reduced to 8.8 ms. Even the brightness of the backlight is declared almost the same.
As a result, the TV from LG Electronics is the winner. But it should be recognized that the vast majority will be satisfied with the picture that is issued by slightly more inexpensive competitors.

3. Smart TV
All three TVs are equipped with smart functionality, but its implementation is different
Samsung has equipped its creation with the Tizen 6.0 operating system. Since the TV cannot be called budget, it received a powerful processor and a solid amount of memory. As a result, there are no complaints about the performance of Smart TV. Only the presence of ads on the desktop and in the application store can upset.
As for the LG OLED55BXRLB, the fifth version of webOS is used here. This operating system is also intuitive. And she also works as fast as possible. In the corresponding store, all the same applications are found. The difference between this OS lies in a slightly smaller number of functions related to synchronization with a smartphone.
The most controversial feelings are caused by the Sony TV company. Android TV 9 is used here. Someone will call this OS the best choice, because it supports a huge number of different applications. Others will note that such a Smart TV is a little less intuitive. And not everyone needs such a wide functionality on the TV.
4. Remote control
How convenient is it to manage smart functionality? As you know, budget TVs from famous companies come with greatly simplified remotes. And we are talking not only about the fact that they interact with the device via infrared. They seem to be specially endowed with the wrong arrangement of buttons - when they are pressed blindly, errors regularly occur. Fortunately, the TVs we have selected do not have this problem.
Perhaps the least interesting is the remote that comes with the device from Sony. It turned out to be quite large, and the number of buttons located on it seems redundant. But on the other hand, it is impossible to find fault with the arrangement of the keys - incorrect pressing is practically excluded.
Remote controls that customers get along with TVs from LG and Samsung have long been familiar to many. These are Magic Remote and One Remote, respectively. The first one is much larger in size, but it provides a pointer function. The second is more compact, and it has a minimum number of buttons. Both remotes have a microphone, thanks to which you can give voice commands.

5. Sound
We evaluate the built-in acousticsThe best sounding OLED TV from LJI. This is because a pair of 10-watt speakers is complemented by a 20-watt subwoofer. The latter is responsible for low frequencies. As a result, the sound picture is saturated, explosions and shots will even give someone goosebumps. You should only buy a soundbar or speakers if you want to enjoy rear channels as well.
Name | Number of speakers | Power | Subwoofer |
Samsung QE55Q70AAU | 2 | 20 W | - |
LG OLED55BXRLB | 4 | 40 W | + |
Sony KD-55XH9077 | 2 | 20 W | - |
The TVs from Sony and Samsung, as can be clearly seen from the table, use approximately the same speaker system. It consists of two speakers with a power of 10 watts. At first, this will be enough. But in the future, you will definitely want more tangible low frequencies and more surround sound. Fortunately, all three TVs allow you to output audio to third-party speakers in a variety of ways.
6. Interfaces
Will there be enough connectors and wireless modules?
All three TVs connect to the router via high-speed Wi-Fi 802.11ac. Usually, its capabilities are enough even for online viewing of 4K video, so a wired connection via Ethernet is not required. More devices received a Bluetooth module. In the case of a Sony TV, it allows you not only to output sound to headphones, but also to connect a lot of other devices. However, Samsung QE55Q70AAU also allows this, but to a lesser extent. And the TV from LG shows itself quite modestly in this regard.
Name | HDMI | USB | Audio | Wireless |
Samsung QE55Q70AAU | 4 things. | 2 pcs. | Optic | Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11ac |
LG OLED55BXRLB | 4 things. | 3 pcs. | 3.5 mm optical | Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11ac |
Sony KD-55XH9077 | 4 things. | 2 pcs. | 3.5 mm optical | Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11ac |
If we talk about wired connectors, then their number should satisfy every buyer. It should be noted that absolutely all the TVs we have chosen support the HDMI 2.1 standard, according to which the picture can be received in 4K resolution with a frequency of up to 120 Hz.But this does not mean that all the HDMI sockets located on the rear panel can boast of such bandwidth. For example, Samsung supports this standard only one HDMI-connector.
LG and Sony TVs also have a headphone jack. But with such a screen diagonal, this is not so important - usually the owners of such devices use a wireless headset.

7. Price
Buying which TV will have the least impact on the family budget?Unfortunately, large format OLEDs are still too expensive to manufacture. That is why the LG OLED55BXRLB TV is the most expensive. Not every reader is ready to pay about 100,000 rubles for a device, even if it has a screen diagonal of which reaches an impressive 55 inches. Many will instead choose to save by spending at least $20,000 less by purchasing a QLED TV from Samsung.
Name | average price |
Samsung QE55Q70AAU | RUB 79,990 |
LG OLED55BXRLB | RUB 99,990 |
Sony KD-55XH9077 | RUB 74,990 |
Usually equipment from the Japanese company Sony has an overpriced price tag. But in this case, it's not as bad as it could be. For Sony KD-55XH9077 they ask even a little less than for a TV from Samsung. But do not forget that this device will be a little more difficult to set up. And it is less suitable for games.
8. Comparison results
We reveal the winnerThe best TV of this trinity is predictably LG OLED55BXRLB.It is not surprising, because it has a much better and more expensive OLED display at its disposal, and in terms of performance and functionality, all devices are approximately equal. Also, the device from LG will please with a louder sound, in which even low frequencies are well felt. Competitors in the future are forced to come to the conclusion that it would be nice to buy a soundbar as well.
If you're willing to put up with slightly less deep blacks, the Samsung QE55Q70AAU might be fine too. At the very least, you should like the Bluetooth remote control that comes with it. You will also appreciate the Tizen operating system. For some time now, it has received a number of innovations. For example, the Ambient mode is now available to the buyer, when the TV goes into a kind of standby mode, displaying the most important information against the background of an image.
As for the Sony KD-55XH9077, it looks the least advantageous. But the device, if inferior to competitors, is only in detail. For example, it sounds a little worse, and its remote cannot be called the limit of perfection.
