Top 5 best areas of Yekaterinburg for living

5 Ordzhonikidzevsky

Lots of shops, everything you need
On the map: Yekaterinburg, Ordzhonikidzevsky district
Rating (2022): 4.6

When choosing a place for permanent residence, it is worth considering the Ordzhonikidzevsky district of Yekaterinburg. Immediately about the cons - it is located at a decent distance from the center. But there are no problems with transport links. There is even a subway, and apartments are relatively inexpensive, even luxury housing is an order of magnitude cheaper than in the center. There is everything you need for life - kindergartens, schools, various shops. In the Uralmash microdistrict there is Lake Shuvakish with a small paid beach.

The Elmash microdistrict located in the same area is distinguished by a large number of plantations. It should be considered by those people who prefer private houses to apartments. At the same time, the opportunity to live in your own house in the city will not cost very much. Another advantage, especially for families with children, not too much traffic on the roads. There are no endless traffic jams, but immediately a minus - the roads are in some places in a deplorable state.

4 Verkh-Isetskiy

Transport accessibility, good environment
On the map: Yekaterinburg, Verkh-Isetsky district
Rating (2022): 4.6

Once not the most popular area is actively developing, new houses are being built here, and apartments are quite expensive. A large part of the area is reserved for the private sector. This is an excellent choice for those who appreciate peace and quiet, tired of noisy city traffic. Here, indeed, it is very quiet and calm, just outside the district, summer cottages begin.

Despite the remoteness from the center, the area has a very developed public transport network and infrastructure. Families with children will find many schools, kindergartens, sports clubs here. The minus is the close location of the plant, which, according to some, worsens the ecological situation. But compared to other areas of Yekaterinburg, the ecology here is one of the best, as there are reservoirs nearby, a forest park zone and an abundance of greenery thanks to summer cottages.

3 Chkalovsky

Security and affordable prices for apartments
On the map: Yekaterinburg, Chkalovsky district
Rating (2022): 4.7

The Chkalovsky district of Yekaterinburg is quite large in area, but not too densely populated. The first advantages follow from this - the absence of traffic jams and, in general, fairly calm traffic. Prices for apartments are also encouraging - here they are not the highest due to the lack of popularity of the area. It is worth focusing on the Botanichesky microdistrict, where developers offer new housing with modern improved apartments. Throughout the Chkalovsky district, here are the newest, best, but also the most expensive houses.

In every yard you can see a good playground. In general, this microdistrict is quite well equipped - everything that a standard family might need is available here in abundance. These are schools, kindergartens, many shops and a large shopping center. Public transport - buses, trams and fixed-route taxis. The residents of Yekaterinburg consider the lack of a metro as a disadvantage, but its construction is planned soon. Also in the reviews, some complain that there are not enough standard parking lots near the houses, and the buildings themselves are located in some incomprehensible chaotic order.

2 October

The best ecology, a lot of green spaces
On the map: Yekaterinburg, Oktyabrsky district
Rating (2022): 4.9

On the territory of the Oktyabrsky district there are three microdistricts, and several villages are also included in it. The best place for families with children is the Parkovy microdistrict. Despite its small size, there is a school and six kindergartens at once. It borders on the Central Microdistrict, which means that there are all the necessary shops, supermarkets and everything else that a person needs for convenience and comfortable life nearby. Good environmental conditions deserve special attention.Oktyabrsky district is abundantly planted with trees and shrubs, which act as a natural air purifier.

In the reviews, residents of Yekaterinburg point to such advantages of the area as the availability of shops and other trading platforms, excellent transport links (10-15 minutes to the city center), and many playgrounds. Of the minuses - rather high prices for apartments, large traffic jams during peak hours.

1 Leninist

The best infrastructure for children, security
On the map: Yekaterinburg, Leninsky district
Rating (2022): 5.0

The Leninsky district of Yekaterinburg is located in the city center, so the infrastructure here is the best. It is also better guarded than remote areas, which provides residents with increased security. This is very important for families with children. Leninsky district is divided into six microdistricts. Choosing among them, it is best to stop at the Central microdistrict. Perhaps its architectural appearance is not the most harmonious, but it is here that all the main attractions, many schools, shops and everything you need for a comfortable life are located. Apartments are sold at a very different level - both very cheap and unaffordably expensive.

In addition to the developed infrastructure, residents of Yekaterinburg in their reviews note transport accessibility, many retail outlets, and cleanliness on the main streets of the microdistrict. But there are also a lot of shortcomings - during peak hours there are always traffic jams, yards are dirty, and utilities are very reluctant to work.

VIZ is a normal area. In the center by tram 15 min. And traffic jams - so they are all over the city.

And where are the problems of the regions? Uralmash - it's scary to go out in the evening, Botanichesky district - where did you see safe playgrounds for children there? - the whole area is filled with cars. VIZ - do not enter, do not leave, contingent. The center of the city - you can’t drive up to the house, the yards are dirty, there are no playgrounds. And this is only the view of a person who happens to be in these areas. If I live in Yekaterinburg and have a child.
