The area is characterized by a huge amount of entertainment and a large fountain. The second part is much calmer and more affordable in terms of price.
Thermal power station-5 is located on the territory of the Oktyabrsky district, most of the new buildings are concentrated around it. However, the area is not homogeneous: there are both historic houses and cottages, as well as extensive garden communities and fellowships. 60 hectares are occupied by forests, including the largest forest in the city. Modern houses do not violate the green zone, organically fitting into the appearance of the area. Several new low-cost residential complexes have been erected on the banks of the river.
6 Kirovsky

The main thoroughfare of the city passes through the area, which has a Guinness record for its length (almost 7 km!).The main attractions are located on the territory: the chapel of St. Nicholas, the opera and ballet theater, the local history museum. There are 4 metro stations. Most of the district is occupied by the Central Market, a park of culture and recreation. At the beginning of Red Avenue there is the oldest cathedral in Novosibirsk in the name of Alexander Nevsky.
The busy life in this area is due to the high population density and small area. The historic center attracts real estate buyers. The concentration of entertainment facilities, social facilities, monuments and parks increases the cost of apartments. There are practically no new buildings, housing is represented by secondary housing. There are 12 schools and 18 gardens on the territory, more than 550 trade enterprises, including 360 restaurants, bars and cafes.
