Founded in the second half of the 19th century, Vladivostok was originally designed as an outpost of Russia in the east and the main naval base. The development of the city was far from chaotic: the streets and avenues stretching from the Amur Bay are located mainly parallel-perpendicular to each other. Low-rise stone and wooden houses, made in the architectural styles of that time, still adorn the central part, reminiscent of the glorious history of the city.
The construction boom of the last century led to the emergence of multi-storey residential quarters on the periphery, including large-panel ones, created according to standard designs, and a general expansion of city boundaries. In the last two decades, microdistricts of monolithic, monolithic-brick houses with an improved layout have been growing rapidly. To date, the share of skyscrapers in the housing sector is about 90%. Our rating includes areas with different levels of amenities for living.
