1. Torque
The force with which the working part of the screwdriver can rotateOne of the main parameters that you should be guided by when choosing a screwdriver is the torque indicator. It determines the force with which a household tool can tighten screws and self-tapping screws and, accordingly, its performance. For work at home, in the country or in the garage, an indicator of 20-50 N * m will be quite enough, although some users prefer "more powerful".
All the models presented by us fit into the range of these possibilities, while there is also the Makita leader with its 165 N * m, which is clearly ahead of everyone. DeWALT and Bosch crossed the 50 Nm mark, demonstrating 65 and 54 Nm, respectively. Only 1 N * m more torque compared to the outsider turned out to be a domestic screwdriver from Interskol. For this reason, a fairly good Metabo with a score of 34 Nm turned out to be the weakest participant in this indicator.
2. Engine design
Design features of the electric motorThe performance of the tool also depends on the design of the motor. The brushless type motor is equipped with DeWALT DCD778D2T. It significantly outperforms the "brush" predecessor in terms of efficiency and allows for a 50% increase in operating time per charge cycle. The other four models presented in our comparison are equipped with collector engines familiar to us.They determine the low cost of a cordless screwdriver and its high maintainability. At the same time, the Bosch model has a special design for quick replacement of brushes. Makita will have to remove the back cover to do this. As for the rest of the participants, in order to service the engine and replace the brushes in these designs, you will have to disassemble the body.

3. Uptime
Duration of continuous rotation, including under load, when operating from one batteryAn important factor when choosing a screwdriver is the duration of work on a single charge. To solve everyday problems at home or in the country, a battery with a capacity of 1.5-2.0 Ah is enough. Depending on the intensity, it will be possible to screw and unscrew the batteries with such parameters for 4-6 hours. All models selected for comparison are equipped with batteries that fit this range in terms of parameters. Only Makita breaks these limits with its 4 Ah battery. Bosch, Metabo and DeWALT are equipped with 2.0 Ah batteries. At the same time, in all trim levels there are two batteries at once, which is very convenient when carrying out long-term work. Interskol provides power of only 1.5 Ah - according to this indicator, the domestic screwdriver was at the very end of the list.

4. Ability to drill various materials
Ability to use a screwdriver to create holes in building materials of different densitiesAn additional advantage of a cordless screwdriver is the ability to drill. This option greatly expands the functionality of the tool and allows you to save on the purchase of a drill. This point is especially relevant when tasks of this kind arise from case to case. Manufacturers Bosch, Interskol, DeWalt and Metabo promise fairly confident drilling of wood and metal with their tools, the allowable thickness is shown in the table. In a screwdriver from Makit, this ability is not declared.
Brand | Bosch | DeWALT | Interskol | Metabo | Makita |
Wood, mm | 35 | 30 | 25 | 18 | - |
Metal, mm | 10 | 13 | 10 | 10 | - |

5. Torque adjustment
The mechanism for limiting the maximum tightening force of self-tapping screwsIn addition to the number of idle revolutions and torque power, the ability to adjust the twisting force is important. The accuracy and accuracy of the work performed depends on this parameter. The BOSCH GSR 180 tops this comparison with 21 torque settings. It is followed by Metabo and Interskol, with 20 and 19 switching modes respectively. The next place was taken by DeWALT.Three degrees of rotational effort are provided in the Makita screwdriver, which determined him the last place in this category.
6. Ease of use
Indicators affecting the degree of comfortable operationConvenience and comfort during operation have a considerable influence on the performance indicator. Excessive fatigue of the operator from the increased noise level or the severity of the screwdriver does not contribute to long-term work. These parameters are equally important when choosing a tool for both professional use and home use. Comparison of the selected models made it possible to determine the leader in terms of the optimal ratio of noise and vibration weight. This is an Interskol with a weight of 1.1 kg and a noise level of up to 88 dB. Due to the light weight, Metabo broke into second position, although he is noisy. Despite the heaviest weight and increased vibration, Bosch and DeWALT took the middle lines of the comparison with a small margin between them. The Makita screwdriver turned out to be an outsider - a weight of 1.3 kg and a noise level of 104 dB made themselves felt.
brand | Interskol | Metabo | Bosch | DeWALT | Makita |
Weight, kg | 1,1 | 0,8 | 1,6 | 1,5 | 1,3 |
Noise level, dB | 88 | 104 | 99 | 88 | 104 |

7. Additional Benefits
Other features of models that increase their consumer qualitiesJudging by user reviews, the ergonomics of the models presented in the comparison more than meet expectations. All cordless screwdrivers have an anti-slip grip on the handle for a secure grip. For the convenience of working in dimly lit and hard-to-reach places, spot lighting is thought out. All positions have a reverse function, but the DeWALT screwdriver does not have a spindle lock. Bosch boasts the longest warranty service for up to 3 years. Metabo and Interskol offer a 2 year warranty, DeWalt and Makita offer a year.
8. Price
Average retail purchase price of a power toolAll the characteristics of the models described above, to one degree or another, affected the price of the instrument:
Brand | Metabo | Interskol | Bosch | Makita | DeWALT |
Average price, rub. | 6090 | 6650 | 9460 | 12500 | 13400 |
The tool from Makita DTD turned out to be the most affordable screwdriver. It is followed by domestic Interskol - the difference is only 10%. The "middling" Bosch literally divides the price segment of our comparison into two camps: budget and premium. In the latter, two entrants under the brands Makita and DeWALT come with an even smaller margin. The difference in cost is 6.7%, and it is not in favor of the more modern DeWALT.

9. Comparison results
Average rating for all comparison categoriesAll screwdrivers that took part in our comparison demonstrated high operational attractiveness. The best was the Bosch power tool.He not only scored the most points, but also took a leading position in three categories. Unexpectedly, the Interskol screwdriver broke into second place, demonstrating the best ease of use and a balanced price. American and German brands followed with a minimal margin - DeWalt and Metabo, despite a decent difference in cost, were rated equally in our comparison. In last place, unexpectedly, was a representative of the popular Makita brand. At the same time, he took the leading positions in two categories. But the failure of the comparison results in the nominations "Adjustment of the tightening force" and "The possibility of drilling various materials" leveled the success of the model.
