The weather in the resort is changeable, there are fogs and snowstorms. Then visibility drops a lot, freeride is limited or warned about the danger of breaking loose. Speaking of the latter, there are many avalanches and crevasses in Chamonix, especially close to the summit. They are covered with snow, but it is risky to drive there.
